so how do we deal with it, first in school and then as we progress through life?

To begin, we must all be on the same page: children, teachers, and parents must all understand that education is more than just lessons taught in the classroom from textbooks. Parents and teachers should encourage
their children to ask as many questions as possible. For it is the desire to know that will lead to actual knowledge.
